Guess WHO?

Since my HCM trip, I didn't take any shots. I was feeling a bit moody and my body did not allow me to have any additional activities. Instead, I needed some rest.

But I do want to keep my blog active and share some of the shots that were taken quite sometime back. Searching through my old files, haha...I manage to find the following pictures which were taken about 2 months ago when I was back in my hometown.

Isn't she cute?
At least to me she is very cute :)

She is pretty to me too and she is so energetic.

She lets you take as much shots as you want and she will try to pose different styles for you to capture a different side of her.

I am here...please take my shots.

Harlo...do I look cute for this post?

Random shots from HCM

Here are some random shots of our trip to Ho Chi Minh. - DT

Can't remember what this building is called.

Never knew there were mini power rangers running around HCM :D

Can't remember what this building is called either.

Ever wondered how Ho Chi Minh looked like from the ground up? Wonder no more :P

A stranded boat along the Mekong river.

Some aerial shots from our hotel restaurant.

Some ground shots from the hotel lobby.

A mini fire brigade! Very effective against lighted matches and candles.

Our flight was delayed for almost three hours before we actually got to board the plane home. And no, that's not our plane... sigh.

Puppy love

My mum just got a new dog last weekend. It's a he and he's a mixed breed of Shitzhu and Silky Terrier. - DT

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Vacation time! This time we went to Ho Chi Minh city with a few friends. Unfortunately, one of us could not make it because of an unfortunate event. By the way, this is DT taking over blogging duties for a while as Bernice is busy for the time being. So the pictures that I will be posting might not be up to standard as I'm not too familiar with photoshopping.

All of us boarded the plane from LCCT before arriving in HCM late in the evening on Saturday, 21st of June. We then checked into our hotel and met up with one of Milo's old school mate who took us out for a late night dinner. The initial place we wanted to go to was out of food, so we ended up taking a late night stroll through the city's street before arriving at one quaint little shop for some local snacks (which we ordered in heaps).

Another shot from the air craft

Didn't do much on the first night as it was late by the time we finished our dinner. We did walk to Sheraton Hotel to check out the night scene there and ended in one of the discos. Needless to say, we went back to our hotel late and tired.

I don't really remember what happened the next few days *hahahaha.... Guess age must be catching up with me, so I'm just gonna write and post whatever that comes to my mind.

Second day... now what the heck did we do on our second day. Wait.. I go and check Milo's blog first... wakakakaka.

Ahh.. yes. We walked past a place called the "
People Committee Hall" where Bernice and Milo stopped by to take a few shots while I rested under a tree on the pavement.

Next along the way, we visited the Notre Dame Cathedral. We actually passed by the place on our first night out on our way to dinner but it was closed then. I guess no one prayed at night here. If I'm not mistaken, I think we only found out that the it is open to public at certain times of the day and is meant as a tourist attraction.

Next stop, the post office. Don't have much pictures of it except for this phone booth inside the building. Not sure if it's working though.

We then went to fill up our stomachs with local delicacies before heading off to the War Remnants Museum. It was a really depressing place where they have short narrations of what happened during the war, who was killed and how they were killed; with pictures as proof of the events.

After that, the ladies had the time of their lives when we went to the Ben Thanh market to test out their haggling skills. You can check out the market at Milo's blog.

Third day out was a trip to the Mekong river. It was a two hour bus ride from the tour agency to the jetty where we took a boat out for the experience. Most of the trip included segments where we were introduced to how local delicacies - rice paper, lacquered craft, coconut candy and honey - are made. According to the guide, the Mekong river has always been brown in colour because of I dunno wat.

The fourth day was spent roaming around the city. We wanted to go to one of the pagoda temples where there is a giant buddha. Where we ended up was a tiny temple with no giant buddha anywhere to be seen.

Next up, another temple. This is a very special temple for one of our friends because this is where he decided to take a dump... hahaha.

We then walked around Chinatown for a while as one of us wanted to buy a motorcycle helmet for their kid. This would mark our second last day in HCM as the next day, we will be heading to the airport to take our flight back to home sweet home. - DT

National Zoo - The Spider

During this trip, we found out something that KC is afraid of...yes, spiders.

He was so engrossed in taking the bear pictures that he din realize that right in front of him, there was a spider. The moment when DT and Milo pointed it out to him...he was like jumping 3 feet away from this creature.

Anyway, will be posting more pics as time goes by. :)

National Zoo - Birds

Oh ya, I din mention in my previous post that we went to National Zoo last week (although you would have guessed from the title... hee hee). We spent about half a day there taking animal shots (started with monkeys and ended with elephants). We were so lucky on that day coz just as we were driving out from the zoo, the rain came...like cats and dogs.

DT told me not to take mostly front angle shots in order to have more interesting pictures...so I try to take my pic from different angles. But you know what he said for the following pic...he said how come it is not a frontal shot. :s Ha ha. Ok ok, I am still learning.

Hey, same species of eagle that I have taken for my early post. But this is not Swifty.

National Zoo - The photographer

Many times I mentioned about Milo and KC in my blog for most of our photography sessions. You know, I am so lucky to have two of them as friends who have the same hobby in taking pictures. Of course, to me they are always the best ones in this area. You can see from their blog...they shoot very nice photos. They can have very clear shots of flying birds whereas I am still in the learning stage. One day I can do the same...hey, give me some hints please...how did you managed to capture that? :')

Most of the time, the photographers will not be in their pictures. Dun worry, I did capture some. Here you go...hehe

This is me...pretty :p

Mid Valley - Dog exhibition

Ever since Jan, I didn't touch my camera at all. Why? Ermm... cuz I was so moody that I didn't even want to take up any shooting. During those few months, I was experiencing some of my most happiest and also saddest moments in my life but I won't be blogging about any of it here. Too painful...

Anyway, haha... when I decided to pick up my camera, I almost forgot how to shoot :p ... Milo, KC and I went to Mid Valley for the dog exhibition but I didn't manage to take any good shots. Maybe you can check out milo and KC's blog for more pics.

But I did manage to shoot one of my favourite subjects, which is of course dogs. I love dogs. woof! woof! I wanted to have one but dt keeps pushing the date to buy a dog for me. How bad is he har? :p

I love the above miniature Yorkshire Terrier ... so cute

Hey, buddy how are you?

I didn't manage to shoot it upfront, so I shot his back...wuahaha

Putrajaya - Sunset

Finally, Milo and I managed to go to Purtajaya for photography yesterday. I was so happy because I can take some sunset and night shots for buildings and bridges...yeah. So, we decided to meet at Alamanda. Me and DT spent almost half an hour inside Putrajaya trying to reach Alamanda cause we were lost. We had a quick and light meal there then we went around Putrajaya before finally stopping at Dataran Putrajaya.

We had lots of fun there really. I thought we can take some sunset and night shots as that was our purpose for this trip. But I guess we weren't so lucky that day because not long afterwards, the rain came :(

Luckily, we managed to take some sunset shots before the downpour. Following are some of the selected pictures taken from yesterday. For sure next time, we will be back to this place to have our fun again.

"Malaysia flag and Flags of 14 states"

"PM's office taken before sunset"

This was one of our objectives, to take sunset shots.
